History:

The middle of winter has long been a time of
merriment around the world. Centuries before the
appearance of Jesus, early Europeans rejoiced
light and birth in winter. Many peoples rejoiced
during the winter solstice, when the worst of
the winter was behind them and they could look
further to longer days and unmitigated hours of
sunlight. The end of December was an ideal time
for party in most areas of Europe as fresh meat
was readily available and so was wine and beer
that was fermented and ready for consumption.
New Christmas customs emerged in the Middle Ages.
The most important contribution was the carol,
which has now become associated with the sacred
adherence of the birth of Christ. Many believe
that Christmas traditions began with the Mesopotamian
commemoration of New Years in honor of their chief
god - Marduk.

| The root of
Santa Claus begins centuries ago with Saint Nicholas,
Bishop of Myra who was a kind man, particularly
faithful to children. His compassion and repute
for generosity gave rise to claims he that he could
execute miracles and devotion to him augmented.
The trendy American form Santa Claus started off
as an offshoot of Dutch Sinterklaas, which is a
slender form of Saint Nicolaas (Saint Nicholas).
Several rituals have formed around the Santa
Claus stature that is generally performed by children
eager to receive gifts from him. Santa Claus is
traditionally signified in a red cloak with white
fur trimmings, an allusion to St Nicholas, who
reputably carried out his charitable acts dressed
in his red bishop's robes.

tree is one of the most accepted traditions linked
with the celebration of Christmas. It is usually
an evergreen coniferous tree that is brought into
a home or used in the open, and is ornamented with
Christmas lights and colorful ornaments during Christmas.
An angel or a star is often topped on the tree.
Artificial trees have become more and more fashionable,
as they are considered more opportune and affordable
than real trees. At the end of the Christmas synthetic
trees can be disassembled and stored neatly. Inverted
trees have also become trendy. The Christmas tree
has become one of the most adored and popular
holiday symbols.
