Overview

The clean and wide roads, free of filth as well as unpolluted fresh air attract any nature-lover, who seek absolute peace and tranquility in the lap of mother nature. Adventure tourism like trekking, island camping, snorkeling, scuba diving etc., are the real attractions.

Floating in splendid isolation, cast of the Indian mainland is the archipelago of 572 emerald islands, islets and rocks known as Andaman & Nicobar Islands. A visit to Andaman's largest city, Port Blair is a must. As the sun rises from Bay of Bengal, the ethereal beauty of unadulterated nature engulfs one. One can spend hours just staring at the clear blue waters with not a sound to disturb you, except the twittering of a song bird or the footsteps of a wild cat or a deer. The sandy beaches on the edge of meandering coastline are fringed with coconut-palms that sway to the rhythm of the sea. The sea around the islands offer excellent scope for water sports. The rare flora and fauna, underwater marine life and corals, with crystal clear water and mangrove-lined creeks, offer a dream-view of the rare gifts of nature. Tourists can have a glimpse of the tribal culture in the museums and the various cultural programs. Port Blair is the only place which has a good amount of population in comparison to other islands and areas, which is around 1, 00,000, roughly. A visit to the Havelock Island is a memorable experience. It is unspoilt and beautiful. If one is lucky enough to get a permit, a visit to the home of the Onges in Dugong Creek is necessary. Staying overnight at Havelock will take one back a hundred years to camp life and pristine beauty. A visit to these islands is a memorable lifetime experience.

Andaman tours

The Andaman Islands are a group of beautiful islands belonging to India in the Bay of Bengal. The islands are dominated by tropical jungle and are surrounded by pristine waters home to a wide variety of marine life.

The largest town in the Andaman district, Port Blair lies on the east coast of the islands. As the name suggests, the place acts as a port and is home to the Indian navy and the Indian Coast Guard. The Gandhi Park offers various facilities like water sports, amusement rides, boat riding, and a beautiful garden. Marine life and rare corals can be witnessed through the glass bottom boats at the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, in what is a very popular destination among tourists. Port Blair is also home to the historic Cellular Jail which now serves as a national memorial.

Havelock island is the largest island among all to the east of the Andaman. The island is predominantly known for its eco-tourism and its white sand beaches. Lush greenery and rain forests are also found on the island, but the tourism purposes are met by the exquisite marine life, and water sports such as trekking, sailing, kayaking and many more available.

Havelock Island (often just Havelock for short) with an area of some 92 sq.Km is the largest of the islands which comprise Ritchie's Archipelago, a chain of islands to the east of Great Andaman in the Andaman Islands. The island population is comprised of Bengali settlers. It is one of the few places that the administration of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands union territory of India has permitted and encouraged development of tourism, with a focus on promoting eco-tourism.

Havelock Island avoided much of the devastation which was visited upon most of the shores affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and its resultant tsunami, and there were no documented casualties. Beach No. 7, better known as "Radha Nagar" Beach, is one of the most popular beaches in Asia. The elephant beach at Havelock is known for rich marine life, especially the corals.Beach No. 5 is famous beach for Israeli tourists. few Israyeli citizens also running business over there.
