Ooty

Ooty is a town, a municipality and the district capital of the Nilgiris district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Ootacamund is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. Originally occupied by the Todas, the area came under the rule of the East India Company at the end of the 18th century. Today the town's economy is based on tourism and agriculture, with manufacturing of medicines and photographic film also present. The town is connected to the rest of India by road and rail, and its historic sites and natural beauty attract tourists.

 

Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal is a city in the hills of the taluk division of the Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Its name in the Tamil language means "The Gift of the Forest". Kodaikanal is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" and has a long history as a retreat and popular tourist destination. It's a lot cooler in temperature than lower elevation cities such as Chennai and Bengaluru.

 

Itinerary

Day 01: Coimbatore - Ooty [100 Kms]

  • Arrive at Coimbatore, on arrival transfer to the Ooty. On arrival transfer to the Hotel. The Queen of Hill stations nestled in the Nilgiri range and popularly known as Ooty, A Britisher Mr. John Sullivan discovered Ooty in 1821, the sheer grandeur of this romantic city is enough to drain anyone out. Afternoon arrive at hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 02: Ooty

  • Morning half day tour of the Botanical Gardens and the Museum with the numerous varieties of ornamental trees and plants is an attraction for all tourists, One can see the best profiles of nature, each embedded with a distinctive grandeur. It s the majestic waterfalls, never-ending forests,and beautiful tea gardens, lush green meadows, placid lake, manicured golf courses that are really spellbinding. Overnight at the hotel

Day 03: Ooty

  • After Breakfast, day free at leisure for shopping. Over night stay at Hotel.

 

Day 04: Ooty – Kodaikanal [236 Kms]

  • After early mornings break fast proceed Kodaikanal. Check in at the hotel. Over  night at hotel.

Day 05: Kodaikanal

  • After early mornings break fast proceed visit to Coacker s Walk, Golf Links, Green Valley View, Pillar Rocks, Silver Cascade Falls, Bear Shola Falls & the Lake etc. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 06: Kodaikanal

  • After Breakfast, day free at leisure for shopping. Over night stay at Hotel.


Day 07: Kodaikanal – Coimbatore [135 Kms]

  • After early mornings break fast Drive to Coimbatore Airport / railway station for onward destination.
