Overview

In the whole of Western Europe, Switzerland remains the most visited country. The most popular tourist places within Switzerland are Geneva, Zurich, Lucerne, Zermatt, Interlaken etc. Apart from these, there are other ones too, though less popular yet picturesque. Switzerland travel is most often linked with stunning views of the snow-capped Alps, although you will find the entire country to be remarkable in respect to scenery.

Geneva is an anomaly, proving the idiom 'small is beautiful'. An international fame city yet nothing pompous within it. The old town down south is worth a visit; attaching history to the Swiss land. Zurich blends the old and the new in a manner that makes the combination seem natural.  The city  is a delightful and compact place to tour and its narrow winding streets add to its mystery.  Lausanne is the olympic capital of the world and is home to the olympic museum. The town combines the lake, the mountains, parks and little, narrow alleys to form a picturesque whole.

Montreux is a resort swiss town in the Canton of Vaud, on Lake Geneva, with a population of over 30,000 people. A true paradise for walkers, Montreux is the very place where one day excursions can be organized from.

Whether visiting the remote villages or sampling the finest of wines, you'll find Switzerland a chocolate box bursting with unexpected flavours.
